We found Frontier seats so hard, short and uncomfortable that we could only tolerate an hour or so in the air. Even sitting on my parka didn’t help much.
How true. I remember the last flight I ever took on Frontier... my ass was asleep before the plane took off.
Wow, and we thought flying was uncomfortable now! Wait until Frontier is besieged with all those people who would not ordinarily be flying!
No, thanks.
This is the the 2nd year of doing it. I bought a pass last year ($499) and used it a few weeks ago for the first time. It was great! I'm going to take some international trips in January.
It sounds like they are selling a $499 standby ticket, so you only get on the plane if they can't fill it up with regular ticket-buying customers.
They’ve done this before, and the best scenario I could come up with for its use was a retiree who lived across the country form kids or grandkids and who had the flexibility to crash at their houses for a few days if they were having trouble finding a seat to go back home.
In '08, flew to Minneapolis and it was a great flight. That was before the low-cost version came about with Spirit. I agree with others, you can't have any strict plans with all those restrictions.

Yes, the original Frontier was fantastic. I lived in Denver during that era, which was its only hub at the time. I took many, many flights on Frontier. Nothing at all like today.
We don't even look at Frontier fares any longer. I've flown on Agilent recently a couple of times. Everything is an extra fee except the bathrooms, haha. Other than that, it's an okay experience. The seats are fine for me. Today the Frontier seats feel like they're made of cast iron.

My girlfriend used to work as a flight attendant for frontier. At first she thought it might be fun watching the jerry springer type passengers. After a while she hated it. Rude loser passengers and lazy flight attendants
She’s with delta now . Better company and class of clientele.

Flying is horrible enough these days but this may appeal to younger people (or others) who will sacrifice some basic comfort for cheap but many fees. No thanks.
So interesting that you would say that, because I’m riding home from the airport at this moment, after a 3 1/2 hour flight on Frontier and my butt is killing me. Thankfully, the flight wasn’t full and both of us were able to have whole 3 seats to ourselves. The cocktail was $15.
Both my husband and I are tall and bony and we were in pain before the plane took off. It’s a shame, because otherwise I like a lot of things about Frontier. Their planes are new, and clean. The personnel have been very nice. They fly direct from Jacksonville to Puerto Rico. I seriously have never experienced a smoother take off or landing on any other airline as I did today.
