She might have thought that it would be like American "justice" where they blame it all on the black guy and she would walk free. Which is no doubt what would have happened here.
It appears there was no evidence of any fingerprints from Knox at the crime scene. I guess they were doing drugs and having sex with gloves on. The BF showed zero emotion when convicted to 25 years, 1 year less than Knox. They apparently get 3 appeals.
The "black guy" confessed in this case. I think she was convicted by the media many months ago though. I'm not arguing that if you live in another country you should abide by their rules or face the consequences, and maybe the assertive demeanour of young Americans is perceived as arrogance, which doesn't help.
The Black man who was convicted did not act alone.
Amanda's behavior following the murder was very bizarre and seemed uncaring to many observers(the kissing with her boyfriend at the murder scene, the buying lingerie in an upscale boutique after the murder)
Also, didn't she write in her diary about planning a drug-induced orgy with the victim? I read it somewhere a while ago...it might have been on the victim's, Meredith Kercher, website.
With all the drugs she was taking it may have given her some kind of amnesia after the act. Either that or she is a cunning liar. Or she may have not been involved at all. I just don't know.

I have no problem with the verdict.
ditto. if she is innocent of this murder and this was all some big mistake, she really needs some sort of evaluation, b/c some of her reported behaviors, if true, shows a complete lack of emotion, almost to a sociopathic level. she definitely incriminated herself w/ her questionable behavior after the murder. if she is innocent, she really screwed herself over w/ her antics
All the foreign students I knew in college studied hard and would never party and do drugs with their parents' money. Not only am I ambivalent of Knox's character, but she seems very cold and distant in her demeanor right after the murder. The American media is blasting the verdict but it may just be a case of "NO! Not OUR little girl!"
