Frequestly asked question with many different replies, PWalters

After trying a number of companies when first relocating to Arizona, my final choice was Sprint PCS (not their Nextel partner). Super clear voice delivery and not even one dropped call in about six years.

Good Luck!

I'd have to agree with bummer....Verizon use to be really good (can you hear me now....no...we can't), but now it drops my calls at least once a day...I have friends that have Sprint and swear by it! T-Mobile is horrible, when I had them I had to stand on my son's bed, hold my phone in the air or go outside to get a call through!

An early "welcome" to Tucson!

Thanks, Ozark Nana!

No one ever agrees with me anymore! ! ! ! !

Just a little footnote to my original post . . . while in the TCC (Tucson Convention Center) with a few friends earlier this year, my Sprint PCS phone was the only phone with service. Granted, we were basically "below ground" with lots of cement and steel all around as well as overhead, but only one out of five or six phones (various providers) with service . . . very impressive!

I used to have Verizon and not really any problems. We then changed to AT&T...No wait Cingular....No wait AT&T, and have had a ton of them. No service and dropped calls ALL the time.

The king of Arizona coverage is Alltel. They have excellent service in town, and more coverage across rural AZ than anyone else. They also have some of the best-priced plans. Sprint roams on Alltel when they lose signal. Get more info on the Arizona Cellular Reviews page.

I definitely agree. I've been with AllTel for 2 years and I've had much better coverage than Verizon, and only a handful of dropped calls, so I'm very happy with them. I was with Verizon before, and I got fed up with their poor coverage and the number of dropped calls, so I was very happy to pay the $180 to get out of their contract and go to AllTel.

I’ve been reading that Alltel has been doing very well with Customer Ratings. Here is the link that might be of help…

I have Cungular nationwide plan which has worked pretty well for many years, but am recently finding some "dead" areas. I need national coverage as I have family on both coasts. How do Sprint pcs and Alltell do on nationwide coverage?

With my SPRINT PCS, every call including Hawaii and Alaska are considered local and in about 7 years . . . not one dropped or poor quality call.

Good Luck
