On March 6th 2022 in the afternoon. We had a squadron of 10 javelina visit the area behind our casita. There is one baby javelina, and two injured javelinas. The first injured javelina comes in to the video from behind some rocks at about the 2:00 mark. The second injured javelina to come in to the picture at about the 2:25 mark is Chester, the injured javelina I have been following for almost 4 years! It is good to see Chester, the baby and the rest of the squadron. Too bad about the second injured javelina, but life is tough in the desert, and that is just how things go. This squadron of 10 javelina looks like 20 with all the milling about that they do. They were on my camera for about 26 minutes. I hope you enjoy the video and music!!!

Good to see Chester and glad both injured ones are part of the group all foraging together. Cute little baby, especially when he rubs his little face against your water bowl.

I remember about 40 years ago someone telling me there was a radio station in Florida and its format was "All Led Zeppelin All The Time" (24 hours a day). This could be "All Javelina All The Time" with so many visitors behind your casita! They're so well mannered and easy to watch, thank you.

Yes, I am glad to see Chester and the other injured javelina hanging with the squadron. I guess I had better think of a name for it as it appears that injury may take a while to heal, if ever. Yes, they are fairly well mannered, but they do have their moments! The baby is adorable as most babies are. I love seeing them, young and adult!!! I am glad you enjoy watching them. Thanks for your reply!

I wonder how they injured their legs? But it's interesting that javelinas don't ostracize injured pack members.
They all look like efficient weed eaters!

No clue on the injuries, possibly from being hit by a car. Yes, they are efficient weed eaters, and environmentally friendly too!!!

I really enjoyed your video. Thanks for posting it. I lived in Arizona from 2008-2012 (in Mammoth) and groups of Javelina used to pay me a visit from time to time.
