Hi..
Don't know if this is the correct area to ask this question. Looking to scale down and for something we can afford. Friends suggested north of Marana, place called Red Rock. Last time I looked at this area, there was no infrastructure, just a bunch of houses set on desert scape, really hot summers, nothing exciting. Am I missing something? Marana is too expensive for us now and crowded.

My take is that Red Rock is one of those "drive until you qualify" areas. Not much out there now, but stuff is coming.

You are not missing anything...its just what you think.

There is this 2021 news article about the place, developers have high hopes.

sorry if its pay to read...sometimes it is...sometimes its not.

Richmond homes at that place seem to have terrible reviews on google.

I do not know what you are looking for, but Oracle is about the same price point and its cooler. Its not along I 10 though...if thats what your criteria is...so it may not work.

I've chatted with someone in the city planning office for the city of Marana. Apparently there is a big development coming at the Pinal/Pima county line right off I-10 at the exit for the Pinal Air Park. The residents will be a lot closer to amenities in a few years.
