Female visiting Tucson for very first time for a couple of nights as part of a trip visiting several areas of AZ. Looking for a nice hotel or boutique hotel in a good area and a safe area. Do you have any recommendations?

Interesting question / request, Texas7 . . .

There are a couple of Hotels in the Tucson Mall (Auto Mall Road and Wetmore Road) area that I have always heard very positive comments.

Good Luck and enjoy your visit.

Check out this site...

they are all in nice and safe areas and are nice.Might be a bit expensive, though. Most of them will have summer rates starting in June...maybe a little sooner. Summer rates are discounted quite a bit. You would have to check out their specials on their websites.

I have also had a guy tell me that Embassy Suites Tucson- Paloma Village on Skyline was nice and safe. Might be a little cheaper.

Due to the emptying out of our office buildings, the biggest office tower in downtown Tucson, the lower floors now house a luxury hotel.

Really hard to say depending on your price range but for something unique and a piece of history (although pricy)i have always liked the Arizona Inn. And it advertises itself as a Boutique Hotel which you mentioned.

Have stayed here in past. Walk to Fox Theatre as well as a ton of eateries, nightlife.
