So i got laid off from my job the end of april. I was approved for UI insurance and i'm currently collecting. I decided to go back to school and be done with work in august. In late august i will have enough money that i no longer need to collect UI. My question is what are the chances that i will be audited? And does ODJFS check all the jobs you applied for during an audit? I'm keeping records of where i applied. And if i got a confirmation email i kept it. But what do i do if i get no reply?

About zero.

You keep saying "audit." In an REA appointment, they look at your work search and if it looks reasonable, you're done.

The next step in my state would be they ask for two weeks of work search, and they'll send out letters hoping for a response.

The states just don't do hard core audits because the statics show that for every $1 spent only 6 cents is recovered.

Face it, you're out of work with a UI check representing no more than 50% of your working wages. You can dang well bet that the vast majority of the unemployed are trying to find jobs.

Only the outliers don't look for work and treat it as a paid vacation, and if the UI people were smart, they would figure out some common denominators of that group, and leave everyone else alone to worry about how they're going to make it to next month instead of worrying about how their work search log looks.

Not your problem. The employers you apply to don't make money responding to the UI people if questioned. You provide what you can, and if UI people want to cause you grief, then they need to prove that you did NOT apply there, or that applying there wasn't a proper work search for your line of work.
