"Alabamians can start claiming the benefits on July 5 as long as they have used up both their regular unemployment compensation benefits and the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation benefits, the agency said. While the program lasts 13 weeks, not all workers will qualify for all of those weeks. Under the program’s eligibility requirements, workers must not be eligible for unemployment benefits in another state or Canada; have no disqualifications; have qualifying wages; and have at least one week in the benefit year that begins in an extended benefits eligibility period"
Although I am not an Alabamian, this criteria is for all of the US.
So, if I have exhausted my 26 regular week AND also exhausted my 13 weeks of PEUC, does it make me automatically qualified for EB? h
I am currently receiving UI benefits from NY for base period of Q2 18', Q3 18', Q4 18' and Q1 19'
However I do have wages from FL for part of Q1 19' and was laid off in August 2019 and obviously have not worked since.
This is ALL from the same Employer.
I would like to know, specifically in regards to "Under the program’s eligibility requirements, workers must not be eligible for unemployment benefits in another state or Canada"
