You're a nice family driving through the outskirts of Detroit, shopping for a new house. What you don't expect to see on your real estate tour: a "strange, ape-like creature" climbing out of the window of an abandoned home.
Given the amount of abandoned homes in Detroit, I think it's the person saw a squatter wearing a fur coat or similar material as Detroit is not warm during the Winter. Bigfoot if it is real would avoid humans like the plague and not go anywhere near a city-Despite a shrinking population and derelict structures. It's also sad to think we have people living in abandoned places with no heat, water or electricity as an alternative to sleeping rough, Especially in a great American city that has been allowed to fall on hard times.
Next week on the bigfoot shows they will have thier team reporting that the news media has several credible reports of bigfoots near Detroit and will pack up and start shooting footage there.
They can wander around and claim they spotted bigfoot every time they get a glimpse of a bum passed out in an alley.
Yeah... I'm gonna go with the hobo theory on this one. I don't see Bigfoot as existing, let alone saying "You know what, this is a NICE NEIGHBORHOOD! I'll just move right on in here."
Also, curiously, I don't think I've ever known anyone to refer to themselves as a 'cryptozoologist' without being completely and utterly insane. Some people just really (really, really) want something extraordinary to believe in.
I remember back in the early 60's in Colorado they had reports about bigfoot in the mountains..... It was a big deal for awhile....
