Maybe cities on the east and west coast are becoming more and more alike. That video reminds me of certain long stretches in DC and its closer-in suburbs in MD and VA, without the palm trees of course.

LA is definitely a lot more than just sprawl and strip malls, thats for sure...
LA is a large continuous stretch of fairly dense development. Probably the largest expanse in this Country. Though few areas feel ultra dense it really is pretty dense
Cool videos. Actually enjoyed the Atlanta vid better since it was taken from a car and showed both sides of the street. I've seen photos of Atlanta taken from a distance and it definitely reminded me of Los Angeles. The Wilshire corridor is just one of several very long boulevards in LA. It would be fun if Sunset Blvd and Sepulveda Blvd were also video taped. LA sure has a lot of palm trees.
LA is incredibly dense from what I've seen on Google Maps. It's crazy how dense it is. Like others have said, alot of low-rise buildings, and loooooong boulevards. Kinda reminds me of a GIANT Coral Gables Florida. Long Beach reminds me of Fort Lauderdale.
Nice videos, but the LA one is definitely more impressive. Much longer and overall seems more urban.
