Like NYC and LA. Well, it won't work. Unless you charge private drivers $1000. to drive on those streets. Yeah, you'll lessen traffic.

Yup...we were in London last year and friends of ours told us all about this. If you were driving into, thru, across, whatever, certain areas of the city......they charged you a fee! I think it was 6lbs at the time, although, I think it depended also on what type of vehicle you drove....You recieved a bill each month...Banks, grocery stores, etc. were set up so that one could pay their bill.

Seems like the little people get to help pay for roads etc. but only the richer folk get to drive on them due to this type of regressive charge? Also seems like an inefficient collection system.
