Hey Guys,

We are currently renting and living in Vancouver but thinking of buying a house in either Maple Ridge or Langley!

My wife is working in UBC and I know travelling from either location will be painful, but wanted to ask locals what would be the better option ...

One options is driving from Langley to Surrey Central and then jump on SkyTrain (no crossing of Bridge)
Or driving from Maple Ridge to Coquitlam Central and then jump on SkyTrain

In both options the idea is to take 99-B Line from commercial broadway to UBC.

Thank you in advance!

As far as travelling distances are concerned I think it's about six of one and half a dozen of the other. If it was me considering the commuting circumstances and choosing which town to live in I'd be asking myself a couple of other questions:

- which train station would I (or spouse) feel most comfortable to leave the car parked at unattended all day and come back to at night in the dark of winter? Coquitlam or Surrey?

- which town do we like best to suit all the family's other criteria besides commuting? Maple Ridge or Langley?

.
