Great to hear.

Here's an interesting thread on a local blog concerning our public transit.

damn i tried the vista bus service and got screwed. i needed to be in thousand oaks at a specific time. I had my bike with me and the bus that came did not have a bike rack. So i ended up catching a different bus service and at a later time. Tell me this is just an unlucky circumstance and not the norm? I have seen vista buses with racks on the front. So imagine my shock and awe when I get ready to board the bus and no bike rack. Leaving my bike behind was not an option. Seen too many bikes at the warner center completely stripped of parts.

I frequently bring my bike.

There are 2-3 compartments in VISTA buses that accommodate 2+ bikes each on the exterior of the bus in the center of the coach. Just tell the driver you're going to load/unload your bike so s/he knows to wait a minute. The compartments are relatively easy to access with latches that can be finicky at times.

There are 3-4 different VISTA coaches, only one has front-mounted bike racks and it is rarely used. Every coach, including the one with front-mounted racks, has at least 2 deep compartments for wheelchairs and bikes.
