People are different? Serious? No really?

I'm not sure what hassles exist in Los Angeles, but if someone doesn't want to drive to Los Angeles to experience real ethnic food or experience serious dining options that is up to them. What is bothersome is when people believe that their suburban Mc-ethnic restaurants are at all representative of the real thing.

Anyhow, the majority of these places will be closed in a few years.

Or thriving. Yogurtland is the Starbucks of yogurt.

Not the first time you've been dead wrong.

Unless you have a time machine you don't know whether I was wrong or right, some frozen yogurt places around here have closed down but the big names are still around. Most businesses like this have 5+ year leases so even if their operation is marginal they are likely to keep it open until the lease expires.

I don't think Yogurtland is any bigger than some of the other yogurt chains and self-service has become the norm.

you were wrong. It's not a fad and "the majority of these places" didn't close down.

it's ok to admit it. We all know, and you're only fooling yourself by trying to walk back and minimize the impact if what you were saying.

The majority haven't closed down yet but that doesn't mean they won't in the future. So without that time machine I'm not sure what you're really claiming here.

What does "in a few years" mean? How are yogurt places trending?

"In a few years" was a vague reference to the future and I wouldn't expect to see a big decline until around 5~7 years due to businesses being locked into their lease. You also have to wait for the investment hubris to die down as well. Only the worst of the worst will close down before their lease expires. Yogurt places are trending down, not many new places being built and some are starting to close down.

5-7 years from your posting? Or now? Are you resetting the clock?
