Oxnard, CA - Average utility bill? (home, water heater, landscaping)

Considering a 2BR + 2Bath, or 3BR + 2Bath. Just trying to work up a budget, and seeing what I can afford with bills.

Single person in a house.

Gas $24
Electric $22
Trash/Sewage/Water $71

Gas = $10 (summer) - $60 (about 3 months in winter).
Electric = $20 (1 person) - $35 (2 persons, where person 2 uses a lot of electricity).
Water, Sewer, Trash = $60 - $70 (where water conservation is a priority -- low-water landscaping, mindful of water usage).

Umm, interesting numbers....there are two adults in my house... (I'm in a 3 bedroom)
gas-about $20
electricity-$80 (there is ALWAYS someone home so something is always running plus I have air conditioning too)
water-$70

Well as of today:

2 Adults in a single family home:

Trash/Water/Sewage: $105 (I opted for the smaller trash can)
Natural Gas: around $15 a month light cooking. With heater in few winter months then $40 a month. I turned down the water heater temperature on my water heater to 110 degree from 140 because I didn't need that much hot water to be heated all the time.
Electricity: $20 a month, few winter months $30
Internet via Spectrum: $45

Two parents, a 20 year old, 16 year old, 13 year old, and 11 year old.

1,670 square foot 4 bedroom 2 and a half bath home, with laundry room. All lights are LED's.

Electric: Under $50 a month (SCE increased their rates since this thread started)

Gas: $28 a month

Water, Sewer, Trash: $140 a month

Cable, Internet, landline: $140 a month

Rules of the home:

1. Showers are 5 minutes or less

2. Turn off the lights. We leave the lights off when we watch TV. We have a night light in each room.

3. Close the refrigerator.

4. Water the yard for 15 minutes twice a week. (Per the city of Oxnard)


We do not have an AC and the furnace has not come on in at least three years.
