If you're into SJW, me-too women.

I would hope in this day an age everyone would be working for social justice and being against sexual harassment.

Sadly, there appear there are some people that are against social justice and pro sexual harassment. Those individuals might have issues in dating in most places.

Well I finally have my house on the market, hopefully it will sell fast so I can move to Vermont. Does anyone know about Brattleboro, VT? I'm thinking of going there instead of Burlington I want to be closer to Ne Hampshire.

Thanks

It’s a pretty vibrant and active large town (by Vermont standards). Extremely in your face liberal and progressive. Nice downtown with a lot of restaurants, funky shops, and a great co-op. The bad: perhaps the worst drug problem in Vermont. Lots of homelessness and drifters. A much higher crime rate than a city/town its size should have.

Thanks for the info. I just looked up the crime, not good.

If you want to be in Vermont but close to New Hampshire, you could look into the Upper Valley area around White River Junction. Decent employment options in the area (though it may be more challenging in the current environment.)

I'm also still thinking about Burlington but it's so expensive.

Yes, Burlington is as expensive as being 10 miles from Washington, DC, which has a much better job scene, well, at least that was the case pre-Covid-19. I find Burlington very expensive for what it is. Don't get me wrong, it's nice, but still way too expensive.
Personally I'd rather be in Montpelier, cheaper, and the outdoor scene is closer, and crime is lower than in Brattleboro.

I'm coming up in a couple weeks to check out Brattleboro for myself and hopefully Burlington as well. I'm hearing a lot of mixed reviews. The thing I like about Brattleboro is the music scene and its close to NH and MA.

I like Brattleboro, and yeah, the music scene from there to Greenfield is pretty good for its size. That said, I still can't help that feeling it never fully recovered from the hurricane. The energy just feels a little different to me still, but that's probably just me.

Burlington has always been expensive for its salary levels. I almost moved back there twice, but just couldn't justify it. I'd only have saved a little in rent, but a third reduction (at least) in salary levels at the time.
