Vermont will have one farm in the middle of.nowhere that employs 30 people. THATS NOT ENOUGH. Thats what people HERE DONT UNDERSTAND. I dont want a Target on every street corner. But you need a little SOMETHING. a LITTLE. To stimulate the economy. So people have.money not only for food and shelter, but some leisurely money to buy LOCAL. When people propose this (per usual) the.natives go gaga. They dont want.ANYTHING, then.complain about jobs, politics etc. Then when someone mentions a different approach Timberline, the fit hits the shan. Either.you need to change a little or vermont will suffer a Detroit style meltdown at some point. Everyone will be a senior (due to the lowest birth rate in the nation) and there.will be NO tax base

For the third time, where do you like living? Where is a good place to live to you?

I'm still amazed by the strange jingoistic fervor Vermonters (including my family) have for their home state. I couldn't wait to get out. I've traveled extensively throughout the U.S. since college (20 years ago), and nowhere else I've been have I encountered such a collection of self-important (but not too bright) people. To steal a line from Will Ferrell (speaking about many of the characters he plays): these people have unearned confidence, and lots of it.

Well, no, you didn't respond to my question in this thread, and you didn't really answer it here either. And no, it doesn't seem you like VT, which is fine, but you've never said where you liked living or want to live.

VT isn't my first choice, I personally liked living in Wisconsin the best.
