It's being reported that Volkswagen will introduce a high performance version of the ID.3 late this year. This trim is unofficially being referred to as the "GTX" by journalists. It can be thought of as the electric equivalent of the GTI. It will feature the same enhanced AP550 electric motor that's being dropped into Volkswagens larger models - with 281HP and 402 lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels (not front!). And unfortunately, so far, there still don't appear to be any plans to bring the ID.3 to the USA.
