I do notice we seem to have more triple digit temperatures this summer than we did last summer and I am not liking it, since we've had a ton of snowfall this year I've thought we would be having another mild summer.

I don't have any data as such, but, yeah, I don't recall this much hot weather last year either.

So far 2017 is the coldest, snowiest winter and the hottest summer that I have had here since 1991 or so.

I don't think this summer is quite as hot as 2015 (which I've thought was a scorcher) but it sure does come close, I agree this past winter was the coldest one we've had in years, it almost reminds me of the winter we've had in 1992-93 or the brief cold spell we've had in late January/early February 1996.

That is a very interesting link you have sent me, I do notice summers during the past 10 or so years have gotten hotter than what it used to be.

Obviously the trend is towards warmer weather, but it still depends on where you're located. Here in Bellingham, this summer has been cooler than the last two years. The hottest day by far this year was in June, where one day we hit 86. During this last heatwave we topped out at 83 degrees...

Here in Sammamish, we have not hit 100 yet, 93 was the highest, mostly high 80s which is normal, but we have had more of it. Fortunately we still are getting the nice cooling off to 55-60 at night.

Yakima is hot every summer but this year has been unbearable...100+ day after day. Winters are normally cold here but nothing too extreme. This past winter was shockingly cold and snowy...it was like living in the ice age. 2017 has been my worst overall weather year in recent memory.

I wonder why that is. There have been patches of cool weather here and there throughout the sound, during this extreme heat wave: San Juan Islands, Bellingham, Pt. Townsend. Victoria and Vancouver, OTOH, have been warmer than usual, though I don't think they've been as warm as Seattle.

I can't believe it's gonna be in the triple digits for Labor Day weekend over in Southeastern Washington, that is unseasonably hot for late August/early September.
