Does anyone have climate data (average temp, precipitation, etc.) for Dallol, Ethiopia? I've looked for it online with no luck. I'd be really interested to see the monthly averages, since it's the hottest place on earth. Thanks!

There's a thread for it - the climate data appears to have been removed though.

From what I could remember of the old data, the coldest month had averages of 36/27 and the warmest month averaged something like 47/32.

I recall seeing data for it somewhere and the coolest month was something like 20/36C and the hottest about 32/45C.

I can recall reading about this place in the Guiness Book of World Records (as the year round hottest place on Earth) when I was a kid!
As others have alluded to, records were only kept for about 6 years.
I'd imagine the thermometer may have fried , or may have been destroyed by sulfurous volcanic gases that abate there.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. It's too bad that the very little data that did exist seems to have disappeared from the internet. It's also unfortunate that records there were kept for such a short amount of time. The area seems to have a unique climate due to its low latitude and its elevation below sea level, creating probably the hottest year-round conditions on the planet!
