So, this is not a thread about your fictional dream climates, but about your favourite climate that exists on earth....I don't know, if there's already a thread like this, but i couldn't find one. Personally, I find it very hard to say since there's is unfortunately definetely no place on earth that's exactly like my dream climate and so there are always some pros and cons.

Some of my favourite climates are these:

maybe the best one (although the record highs are too high in winter):
Wabush - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

too maritime temperatures but with good precipitation and seasons:
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

way too warm in winter, but with great snowfall:
Valdez, Alaska - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

then there are also some pretty good climates in the northern part of the Swedish-norwegian mountains, but they are either a bit too dry in winter or (if more on the norwegian side) too warm..

Another great climate is this russian one: Pechora - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia it only loses against Wabush due to the lower winter precipitation...

Climax, Colorado and Lake Louise, Alberta. Both real nice climates, though I'll give the edge to Climax for having much more snowfall.

My favorites are generally cool-mild summer Mediterraneans, tropical places at elevation and cool-mild deserts. Preferably with low amounts of precipitation I prefer the Mediterranean precipitation pattern as well.

If it has year round 50s-75 highs, that's my kind of place

I would probably vote for central California coast though, as my favorite. While I like the idea of a total lack of precipitation in some places like Arica, Chile, the average temperatures are higher than ideal part of the year.

Specifically http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monterey,_California

The combination of weather and scenery is hard to beat in the Monterey/Carmel area for me.

Kudos to P London, by the way - that is one of the closest to my dream climate I have found (Owen Sound, that is)!
