SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - What would you do for a free lunch? Some people in downtown Springfield Wednesday were willing to eat out in the cold, so long as that meant that the lunch was free.

For the “Polar Vortex Challenge,” customers of the Hot Table in Tower Square were offered the chance to get a free meal, so long as they ate it on the restaurant’s outdoor patio.
