Álfarskog is fictional subarctic town surrounded by thick taiga and a few deciduous trees. It is above the Arctic Circle and has polar day between 25 May and 19 July and polar night between 8 December and 4 January. It is on the leeward side of a mountain range giving it föhn winds causing warm summers for the latitude. It also has very low seasonal lag.

I prefer Winnipeg over this. Winnipeg has a wetter summer and longer summer/warmer spring and fall.
