My son is 12 years old and is seeing a ped's neuro for motor ticks and now he has started slightly with some verbal ticks so there is a possibility this is becoming tourettes. He is also seeing a psych for anxiety and is on a 2nd med for that. We feel he is being over medicated by the psych Dr as issues became more dramatic after the last time the dosage was increased. Several of his symptoms are all symptoms of Tourettes. We really want to get all of this under one Dr, who will work with us, instead of 2 different Dr's treating 2 different symptoms. His ticks are really starting to affect him in school work and he is failing tests for the first time in his life because he can't concentrate.
