Greetings, Just accepted a job at the casino, do not have any clue about the area. Am looking to move sometime in August, I am a single male 55, looking for suggestions as to where I should live, would like to be within a 20-30 minute drive and also be able to enjoy the urban lifestyle(resteraunts etc)any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You should probably post this in the Wichita forum to get more answers. That being said, both east and west Wichita are very nice. I think east wichita offers a tad more but both have a good selection of restaurants. Old town in downtown is the most urban part of wichita. College hill is an older area of town that is close to the east side ammenities. Derby has some restaurants, but I wouldnt call it urban. I guess it depends on your definition of urban.

There's a casino in Mulvane? Who knew? I didn't think there was anything in Mulvane. Well, that is where the Patriot Riders formed.

I used to drive through Mulvane on my way to work from Belle Plaine to Raytheon. There's a little curve in the road and bam, you're outta there.

Derby is a nice town. Just up the road from Mulvane. Between Wichita and Mulvane.
