Here are some questions?

1. Major medical Insurance carriers and approximate out-of-pocket cost (approx.)

2. May want to rent for the first few years just to see if we like it. (I have two well trained German Shepherds.) Not sure if anyone would rent to us with these big boys .

3. We currently live on 60 acres and really love being out in the country but not a must. My daughter lives in Wichita, approximately 3 minutes from the base. I would like to live somewhere near her but in a nice neighborhood.

I'm sorry if I sound nieve about the tornadoes, but they do scare the heck out of me. And of course, earthquakes don't bother me.

Anyone from the west that can relate to my feelings and give me their advice?

Thank you everyone in advance if you can reply to me.

Renting in Wichita with two large breed dogs will be all but impossible. I had one German Shepherd Dog that was very well trained, with obedience titles and certified to perform therapy work at hospitals but I still couldn't find a landlord that would even consider renting to me. I eventually had to settle for a crappy house in a sketchy neighborhood until I could buy something. Wichita is not a very dog friendly place.
