Ladies and gentlemen over 1 month long process required to obtain a part time job paying $12/hr.

The job pays $4 or more than most part-time jobs. Keep that in mind, especially if you land it.

Bob, I dont believe he thinks its unfair, just surprising?

My husband just took a job paying $12 an hour part time, took 3 days for him to start but was a small business. 2 weeks for background check is a long time.

Just because it's part-time, doesn't mean it's not important to have the right person doing it.

I don't know what the point of this thread is... that it takes a month to get through the employment process? That's not really that long.

I once applied for a job that was $9 an hour. It required drug test, background check, and three interviews. It was a warehouse that moved out of the bordering state because it was paying union wages ($18-20 per hour) there.
