These are for sales support, customer service, data entry position. And most are contract jobs. I have a few that I can never get off the phone with. 2 of them are calling me getting me interviews but they go on and on explaining things. Don’t ask me many questions. Mostly talk about the “great” company and how they placed many people there. Then they send me what questions to ask them and how to answer what they ask. Also formats for thank you letters.

They set up a prep interview the day before and tell me the questions to ask. What to wear (and it’s usually team interviews). Where to sit if it is a teams interview. Make sure there is no distractions. The personality of the person who is interviewing me. Tell me they are so excited for me. To call them after the interview to let them know how it went. They ask me what question the employer asked and how I answered them. Then advise me to send them a thank you note and they will forward it. It’s exhausting. And I know what I need to do already. Today the recruiter asked me what I was going to wear to the interview and to get there 15 minutes early. She already told me about the 15 minutes early in the email she sent. And I already know this and told her that I had been doing this many times. She said “well it’s a good reminder”. I know I shouldn’t get angry and they are just doing what they are told but it’s so frustrating.

Then the process starts all over with another interview. They say they are waiting on next steps from the previous interview but then never talk about it and just say they have a great opportunity somewhere else. Do they make commission just for interview prep and phone time because it seems like it.
