The 51 cottages and cabins range from the basic one-room variety to an elegant two-bedroom, two-bath deluxe version with fireplace and hot tub. The rooms are not equipped with TVs or phones. The Roadhouse Restaurant includes a fine selection of pub food and grill specials. There is private access to the banks of the Russian River, and the resort is also walking distance to downtown Guerneville, where you can peruse the antiques shops and have coffee at a local cafe. The resort is closed in winter.

Description: Nineteen stylish rooms and suites fill three multistory Mediterranean-style villas set among apple orchards and redwood trees. Each is individually decorated, romantic, and formal, yet familiar—like the home of a wealthy great-aunt. The newer rooms have fireplaces, sitting areas, private verandas or decks, and either couples showers or spa tubs for two. The common area is centered on a huge stone fireplace. The restaurant seats 50 (see the Restaurants chapter). The kitchen, once reserved for breakfast, now offers dinner Tuesday through Saturday. A full breakfast is served. A spa suite on the property is where you can get rubbed and scrubbed. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the grounds, and guests must be 21 or older.
