Description: In this age of fresh, boutique restaurants, the idea of a “family restaurant” seems perhaps to bring up images of greasy plates, small portions, and soggy potatoes. That is absolutely not what you will find at The Wooden Spoon. If you’re coming here for breakfast, bring your appetite, with thick sausages just off the griddle, crisp toast, homemade maple syrup, and delicious eggs. The home fries are amazing, and the biscuits are flaky and rich. For lunch, they have thick, juicy hamburgers and fries. The food comes out fast, in less than 10 minutes, and they refill your coffee mug constantly. The portions are huge. And the price? You will pay just a couple dollars more than at a fast-food restaurant, just as you will wait a couple minutes longer. That’s all. It’s hard to believe that we as a society would sacrifice this kind of food to save a minute or 50 cents. Take your family to The Wooden Spoon instead of the local fast-food joint, and you’ll never regret it.
