Description: Brazilian is one of the up-and-coming cuisines in Palm Beach County—especially for its succulent grilled meats. And Gol! The Taste of Brazil highlights this cuisine in a very unique way. When you sit down at your table, you’ll notice a disk with red on one side and green on the other. While you sample the 40-plus items at the salad bar—including Brazilian cheese-bread, crispy yucca root, and Portuguese potatoes—you keep the disk on the red side. Then, when you’re ready to sample the meats and fish, you’ll turn it over to green. And an ongoing parade of gaucho-garbed servers will then approach your table every few minutes, with an assortment of meats (15 different cuts), chicken, salmon, and shrimp, each grilled and spiced to perfection. A partial list: house special (picanha), top sirloin, flank steak, prime rib, pork loins, pork ribs, Brazilian sausage, chicken legs, chicken breast wrapped in bacon, lamb chops, grilled salmon, and grilled shrimp, and grilled pineapple. It won’t take you long to see why the local New Times newspaper gave this restaurant its award for Best Rodizio (this type of priced-fixe service) in Palm Beach County. The goodies will keep coming as long as your disk is turned to green. Then you can top your dinner off with Brazilian flan or crème of papaya. Owner Franklin Reider developed the wine list himself, and he designed the glassed-in wine cellar in the center of the restaurant from which the wines are taken.
