Description: Nature’s Way Café has been a Florida tradition since 1978. The ingredients are the freshest and obtained from local sources whenever possible. The soups and salads are homemade, the shakes and smoothies are delicious, and everything’s made to order. The restaurant positions itself as a healthy alternative to fast food. Some of the favorites are the chicken walnut raisin salad sandwich, and the Mexi-melt wrap—marinated grilled chicken breast wrapped with romaine, tomato, avocado, salsa, and melted jack cheese. All of the shakes are blended with fat-free vanilla frozen yogurt and either milk or juice. The Mutty Buddy has peanut butter, banana, and honey. One of the most popular smoothies here is the Sambazon Acai. The acai, as you may know from all the publicity it’s received, is a potent Amazon fruit containing guarana, vitamin E, dietary fiber, and antioxidants. In this drink, it’s blended with strawberries, banana, apple juice, and crushed ice.
