Often crowded and noisy, Tiki Bob’s is regularly voted the best dance spot in Indy. Boasting one of the largest dance floors in the city, Tiki Bob’s also has a state-of-the-art sound system, plus 20 televisions playing nonstop sports and favorite movies. Opened since 2000, the place offers tons of drink specials and requires two pieces of ID for people under 25.

Description: Mostly for the 20-something crowd, this rowdy bar looks like a cross between a mountain lodge and an Old West saloon. Women bartenders in skimpy cutoff jeans slide down a fireman’s pole and dance on the bar. Drinks are reasonably priced and the shells of complimentary peanut litter the floor. This bar doesn’t mind if you shout out a drink order. In fact, you probably will have to shout in order to be heard. Party-hearty folks who love it come time and again.

Description: Follow the neon arrow into the “underground” for a place that has been a destination for night crawlers for more than 30 years. Broad Ripple’s oldest basement bar, the Casba is dark and sometimes frenetic on the weekends, with a frat party feel. On Sunday nights, the Casba is transformed into a reggae bar, a favorite for more than a decade. The bar hosts bands and DJs playing almost every genre of music. Upstairs is the Usual Suspects, a chic restaurant with a great menu.

Description: Formerly Benchwarmers Sports Bar & Grille, this Holiday Inn was recently renovated to be more like a sports-themed restaurant with a bar. Now known as Indy Sports Grille, it is still a great place to watch a sporting event on the 10 large flat-screen televisions. In the remodeling, the Grille was made brighter and more open than the dark Benchwarmers. Most of the sports memorabilia was removed, but some sports trophies and a locker setup behind the bar still evoke the old Benchwarmers. Indy Sports Grille offers a full bar and nice menu in a casual atmosphere. A popular choice is the pork tenderloin sandwich with homemade chips.
