Description: World-Fest is the season kickoff event at Silver Dollar City, and it begins the second weekend in April, just as dogwoods are ready to bloom, and lasts a month, into May. The Ozarks area celebrates world diversity as more than 350 performers from 18 countries come to the theme park. You can hear dozens of languages and many varieties of English as you take in the art of national dancers, singers, and performers, from an Israeli folk dance troupe to an a cappella boys choir from Zambia. You can find flag throwers, sword dancers, and bagpipe and tin-whistle maestros, as well as old-world glass blowing, armor construction, and egg decorating. The international flavor also involves food, and you can sample the culinary delights of the world in the confines of the park. Regular admission prices to the park apply.
