Stockstill Park - Parks & Recreation - Branson, Missouri

City: Branson, MO
Category: Parks & Recreation

Description: The largest of Branson’s public parks at 62 acres, Stockstill is on the north bank of Roark Creek, west of the US 65 bridge that crosses the creek. It is accessed from James F. Epps Road. Amenities include restrooms, two adult softball fields, a large children’s playground, two covered picnic pavilions, a 0.3-mile walking path, six tennis courts, a soccer field, and a skate park. For locals and visitors who like to live “on the edge,” Stockstill is the home of Branson’s first skateboard facility, featuring ramps, curbs, rails, and other challenges for both the experienced and novice skater. The skate park is free and open during daylight hours. Skaters are urged to wear helmets and pads that they must provide. For those less adventuresome, this “center of Branson’s Parks and Recreation activity” has shallow Roark Creek flowing on its south side, which gets lots of little visitors, who chase minnows and crawdads while parents and older siblings are on the playing fields.
