Description: Carved right out of a hillside and not visible from the highway, this outlet mall with 90-plus shops has its entrance just before you reach Andy Williams’ Moon River Theatre on The Strip. Watch for the sign that tells you when to turn off on Tanger Boulevard. Brand-name merchandise is featured at cut-rate prices, including Ralph Lauren, Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen, Levi’s, Haggar, SAS, NIKE, Harry and David, and others. Appealing to the younger set are Tommy Girl, Gap, Polo Jeans, and Disney outlets. You can find hosiery and intimates, housewares, home furnishings, accessories, books, CDs, and men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel and footwear. One of our favorites is the Kitchen Collection, which has everything from the practical to the interesting to the slightly bizarre to furnish your kitchen just the way you want. If you feel faint from shopping, the Fudgery can provide sustenance. Lots of folks do their Christmas shopping in July, outfit the kids for school, or load up with the year’s birthday and wedding presents at Tanger. Whether you call it smart shopping or guilt-free shopping, Tanger advertises that if you find any item you buy advertised for less than you paid for it within 30 days of your purchase, bring in a copy of the ad and the Tanger merchant receipt to any of the 26 Tanger Outlets in the nation, and they’ll refund the difference in cash.Tanger is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day of the week most of the year, with reduced hours in January, February, and March. It’s closed Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
