Description: This historic bed-and-breakfast inn was originally built as a private hunting and fishing lodge in the 1940s. Located 150 yards from the Atlantic Ocean, the inn, with its original tongue-and-groove cypress–paneled walls and ceilings, exudes a cozy, casual charm. Six guest rooms with queen-size beds and private shower baths are equipped with ceiling fans, cable TV, and central air. The wraparound porch is ideal for enjoying the ocean breezes. In cold weather relax with a good book in front of a blazing fire in the common room. Early risers awake to self-serve coffee and tea on the baker’s rack outside the rooms; a full gourmet breakfast is served each morning. Afternoon refreshments are also served. Bikes, beach towels, and chairs, along with an outdoor shower and a courtyard with a pergola, are available. Cypress House is smoke free. Children age 12 and older are welcome, and pets are not allowed.
