Description: This 97-room, 4-story hotel is across the highway from the ocean, so some guest rooms have views of the Atlantic, while others afford glimpses of the Wright Brothers National Memorial. Twelve of the first-floor guest rooms open directly onto the outdoor courtyard and pool. Each room has a microwave, refrigerator, color TV (with remote control, cable, and free HBO), telephone, and private balcony or patio, with nonsmoking and wheelchair-accessible rooms available. A complimentary continental breakfast featuring cereals, pastries, juices, coffee, tea, and fresh fruits is served daily in the lobby from 7 to 9 a.m. Discounts are available to AARP members. Children age 18 and younger stay free in their parents’ room, and pets are welcome for a $20 per day additional charge. During summer holidays, three-night minimum stays are required. The Nags Head Beach Hotel is open all year.
