Description: Easily the city’s poshest hotel, Hilton Omaha opened in 2004 and is the state’s only hotel earning a AAA Four Diamond ranking. The modern lobby features artwork by a number of local Omaha artists, and Omaha ceramicist Jun Kaneko has a group of his famous “Dango” sculptures outside the hotel’s entrance. The decor throughout the hotel is warm yet modern, and it’s connected to the adjacent Qwest Center Omaha via a glass skybridge. The hotel’s 450 guest rooms feature all the amenities. The hotel is currently undergoing a $35 milllion expansion project that will add 150 guest rooms, a second 7,000 square foot ballroom and 100 new parking spaces. Twelve luxury suites include a presidential suite and executive suites, all located on the executive level of the hotel, which has its own private lounge that serves complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, free continental breakfast, and snacks throughout the day and in the evening. Executive suite guests also get turn-down service each evening. The hotel restaurant and bar, the Liberty Tavern, serves meals all day long and has a popular outdoor patio on 10th Street that features a large enclosed fireplace that’s used on a seasonal basis. The hotel has an on-site fitness center, pool, and spa that offers massages and facials. More than 30,000 square feet of meeting space include a 10,000-square-foot ballroom that is popular for conventions and private events alike. The hotel has free 24-hour-a-day shuttle service back and forth from Eppley Airfield.
