Description: Nouvelle Eve is an Old Market icon. The small women’s shop has been in business on the same corner of the historic Omaha neighborhood since 1973—since the infancy of the Old Market as it’s known today. Owner Kat Moser had a dream of creating a one-of-a-kind shopping experience offering everything the modern woman might want when she opened the store, and she’s stuck to the same formula for 35 years. Moser is also an artist and her photography serves as the branding for the store and is displayed throughout the eclectic space. A finely edited selection of women’s formalwear, casual dresses, jeans, tops, and jewelry is melded with a small section of baby items and clothing inside the shop. Ancient wood floors and brick walls bring instant character to the shop, and a window looking into M’s Pub, the store’s neighbor, through a north wall window serves to remind shoppers where they are and make the space feel alive, especially on a weekend evening.
