But you won’t feel crowded here—the tent sites, deluxe full-service cottages, and camping cabins sit on 95 acres of woodlands. The place is so big that you can rent a golf cart in order to zip around the campground during your stay. And there’s a daily shuttle to downtown Gettysburg when you’re ready to visit town.Open the first Friday in April until the last Sunday in October, Drummer Boy also added a swimming-pool complex with waterslide in 2005, and high-speed wireless Internet can be accessed from your site. Good old-fashioned fun is also at your fingertips, with volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, minigolf, and a walking trail available. There are nightly movies in the minitheater from June through September, and fishing (no license required) at the pond. There’s also a snack bar, and church services are held on Sunday.
