Description: Hunt’s Café and Battlefield Fries was formerly known as Hunt’s Battlefield Fries, but the name has been changed to reflect that there’s a lot more than just fries here. Breakfast is available, and for lunch or dinner you can pick from cheesesteaks, hamburgers, wings, salads, and hot and cold sandwiches. There’s also old-fashioned bottled soda, hand-dipped ice cream, fresh lemonade, milk shakes, and desserts, including whole pies. You’ll want to add the fries to anything you order—they’re fresh cut, and owner Scott Hunt lets you jazz them up with numerous topping selections. Scott’s proud of his fries and of his cheesesteaks—he has patrons that have driven from Philadelphia, home of the cheesesteak, just to get one! Hunt’s has been serving up great food since 2002, and the place opens at 8:00 a.m. every day during the season. (Hunt’s is closed on Wednesday from November through April.) You can relax at an inside table or enjoy watching the world go by from your outside table. But remember to bring cash—Hunt’s doesn’t accept credit cards.
