Description: Arsenal of the Alleghenys owners Jay and Melody Thomas travel to more than 20 Civil War and antiques shows each year to find unique artifacts to sell out of their store. Jay focuses on artifacts from the Civil War and the Indian War period while Melody specializes in Victorian-era items. All items they offer are guaranteed to be authentic relics that are considered investment-grade quality. Military memorabilia might include weapons, clothing, journals, corps badges, and medical items, and you can usually also find some Indian-related memorabilia and antique silver, glassware, and porcelain from the Victorian era. On show is Victorian jewelry, as well as accessories such as shawls, gloves, and hankies. The shop is open every day but Monday, and it’s located at the southern end of Steinwehr Avenue.
