Description: If you want to tour the battlefield in a bit of history, Historic Tours is the place for you. Tours are given in a 1933 modified school bus and two modernized 12-passenger 1936 and 1937 Yellowstone buses. The Model 706 Yellowstone buses were developed specifically for sightseeing within the western national parks, and the Yellowstone buses were used in Yellowstone National Park from 1936 to the mid-1960s. As you tour in style, an audio CD tells the story of the entire three days of the battle as you travel the battlefield. The driver has the ability to stop the CD and start it again, and both of the drivers/tour guides are extremely knowledgeable about the battle. The 2.5-hour tour runs twice a day Monday through Saturday and once on Sunday. Advance reservations are encouraged but not required. Cost is $19.95 for adults and $12.00 for children age 7 to 11; children age six and younger ride for free with a paying adult.
