Description: Two tours of the battlefield are available, and both are escorted by staff members of SegTours, who consider themselves historians who are utilizing a new technology to immerse themselves and visitors deeper into the study of the Battle of Gettysburg. The Western Battlefield tour takes about 2.5 hours, covers the three days of the battle by following the Confederate and then the Union battle lines, and visits all the battlefield’s most famous sites. It costs $65 per person. The Eastern Battlefield tour is shorter, at about 1.5 hours, and it covers the lesser known but many pivotal engagements that occurred on this side of the battlefield. Its cost is $45 per person. On both tours you can either listen to an audiotape that was designed and narrated by a licensed battlefield guide or opt to have a licensed battlefield guide accompany you on your tour for an extra fee of $15. Reservations are encouraged for all tours and required if you wish to be accompanied by a licensed battlefield guide. Riders must be at least 16 years old.
