Discover the area’s own marine wonderland in a two-and-a-half-hour boat journey guided by a marine biologist. Experience the vital, living habitat that is home to hundreds of fascinating and mysterious marine creatures. Not an artificial environment like a zoo or aquarium, this interactive tour delivers a glimpse of the real thing. Various nets and dredges are employed to retrieve specimens from beneath the water. Specimens go into onboard touch tanks where they can be seen, observed, and, when appropriate, touched and held. There is also a fishing demonstration and a beach walk along a barrier island that is not accessible by car. Participants occasionally encounter bottle-nosed dolphins—an added delight!
