- Teardown equipment/thorough cleaning
Failure to take apart equipment as necessary to ensure thorough cleaning. Specifically, the microwave popcorn line is not broken down and cleaned after introducing popcorn for custom packaging.
- Inspection, segregation, handling of raw materials
Failure to store materials to ascertain that they are clean and suitable for processing into food. Specifically, 50lbs bags, cases of 16oz containers, and microwave popcorn bags in production area.
- Screening
Failure to provide adequate screening or other protection against pests. Specifically, dock doors in shipping area were open without screens. This has been cited in pest control records numerous times and in previous inspection history.
- Doors opening into processing areas
Toilet doors open into areas where food is exposed to airborne contamination, and there are no alternative means taken to prevent such contamination. Specifically, toilet doors were open to microwave production area.
- Suitable locations
Failure to provide [hand washing] facilities at each location in the plant where needed. Specifically, poly room does not have hand washing sink. Hands in microwave room are washed in bathroom sink. Double sink in production has multiple uses with a shared faucet that contributes to cross contamination
