The next morning, after checkout and about 90 minutes down the highway, we get a phone call from the hotel stating that we have to bring the blankets back that we stole. We told the staff that we did not take anything from the hotel, that the blankets were all on the floor next to the beds and that we used our own due to the fact that theirs were soiled. He then told us that we had gotten more blankets from the office and they had a recording of it and would be calling the police. We, once again, informed them that they were incorrect and that if we had to come back that we would involve the police and be demanding a full refund and gas money in exchange. About 30 minutes later, we received another call stating that everything had been a mistake. I will be watching my credit card bill closely on this one!
