Higher Grounds is a unique and wonderful experience. This family owned and operated cafe and coffee shop is a great place for a casual date or get together with a friend or two, or to stop in and grab a cup of freshly brewed coffee. The food is cafe-style, made-to-order, and top quality. A variety of sandwiches, wraps, and soups are most of the choices, with the half sandwich and cup of soup platter being a lunchtime best-seller. The coffee is excellent--probably the best coffee in town. The frozen drinks are a delicious, sweet treat. Fresh pastries are also served. The ambience is one-of-a-kind and half the draw of going there. Vibrantly painted walls and funky lighting and furniture add flair. The largest seating area is inside and surrounded by windows that look into a backyard garden as well as out the front to Main St. and the outdoor seating area. Owners and staff are always friendly and on their toes. You won't find better in Mount Joy!
