    --The "Bar Pro" brand fruit fly vapor strips NOT approved for use in food establishments, as per the label directions on the package. Found the vapor strips in use within the bar area of restaurant. PIC called his supplier, read the label directions to supplier over the phone and referred to our specialist in Harrisburg for clarification on use of the product as per label directions on the package. All open vapor strips removed from use, placed in a trash bag, and discarded during inspection.
  • Durability & Strength of Equipment, Utensils, & Food Temperature Measuring Devices (46.541)
    --Back of deli slicer blade in disrepair, chunks of metal missing where the chrome plating is de-bonding from the steel material. Blade needs replaced.
  • Equipment in Good Repair & Proper Adjustment (46.671)
    --Walk-in beverage / dessert cooler evaporation unit drain line not conveying condensate water to drain, condensate water leaking into catch pail on shelf below. No food product can be stored under the affected area until repairs are made. PIC to initiate a service call immediately.
  • Toilet Rooms Enclosed & Self-Closing Doors (46.922(d))
    --Employee restroom door that opens into the kitchen area is missing the self-closing door hardware, bottom of the door catches on the floor as well (hinges may need tightened), repair / install closer immediately, as the closer is for fly control and that issue will not go away until cold weather returns.
  • Controlling Pests, Removing Dead or Trapped Birds, Insects, Rodents and Pests (46.981(k)(l))
    --House flies, lots observed alighting in food areas, as well as the partially filled fly sticks used to control those that have gained access to the building
